Finance Assistant - 6 months FTC

The Role:

Product Madness, part of Aristocrat Leisure, is a leading social and mobile gaming company with a focus on social casino games. We have published hit titles on Facebook, iOS and Android platforms and have grown considerably in size over the past year. With offices in London, Austin, Las Vegas and San Francisco, we are currently looking to hire a pro-active accounting associate at our London location to assist in the company growth.

The Finance Assistant will work as part of the finance and overall support team to provide an efficient and positive environment for all staff.  We pride ourselves on our creative and exciting culture and the role will seek to encompass this.

Working closely with HR, talent resourcing, office management and our external payroll company to generate accurate reporting, this role has great potential to grow and develop their career with the company. This is an ideal role for a newly qualified AAT or same level candidate as they will have responsibility of a full P&L, balance sheet and varied other management accounting duties.

Main Responsibilities:

Report and analyse individual cost lines on P&L on monthly basis, providing detail on variances
Management of balance sheets, ensuring outstanding items are investigated and providing explanations where necessary
Bank reconcilliation, completing monthly reconcilliations ensuring all costs are posted appropriately
Assistance in budgeting and quarterly reforecasts
Management of supplier invoice process, creating on finance system and bank for payment.  Uploading onto approval portal if needed
Credit card reconcilliations, preparing expense reports from online expenses system
Management of payroll updates and journal, liasing with external payroll company for all monthly updates

Inputting of payroll journal to finance system, ensuring accurate posting
Assistance with annual audit, providing documentation and assistance where required
Input into monthly submission file to US parent company
Management of headcount movement, weekly updates and monthly reporting
Managing staff and supplier queries
Other general ad hoc queries

Skills & Experience:

Strong team player with collaborative nature

Able to organise and manage multiple priorities
Focus and dedication to culture of continuous improvement
Exceptional communication both written and verbal
Very process focused with strong attention to detail and ability to establish, embed and maintain effective product and communication processes.
Minimum AAT or CIMA certificate level or equivalent 
Demonstrable skills in the Microsoft Office Suite; particularly Excel
