Product Director– Social Gaming

Summary

The Head of Product is accountable for the success of key products within the groups social gaming portfolio.  This role focuses on maximizing the player experience through inspiration, leadership of your product and project team whilst coordinating Product Madness teams to achieve commercial success.   You will be an ambitious leader who is passionate about game changing product formulas to maximize customer experience, and create a true impact in the marketplace.

 

Strategy and Planning

  • Accountable for the development of business cases as required for new strategic product opportunities by defining core segments.
  • Define and track strategic objectives to ensure effective execution within the business.
  • Ensure product strategies are aligned to high demand customer offerings to drive growth across the product portfolio.

 

Product Management

  • Facilitate the management of risk, opportunity identification and interdependence across game delivery.
  • Ensure the resolution of issues within and across projects/programs, ensuring alternative solutions are explored, as well as assisting with clearing “roadblocks” where necessary.
  • Influence the improvement of planning & delivery capabilities within the development teams.

 

Commercial success

Accountable for commercial strategies within the broader strategic plan to drive growth in revenue and market share through:

  • The delivery of a customer segmentation model to understand buyer behaviour & spend patterns.
  • Coordinating with Finance, User Acquisition and Data Science functions to implement commercial models.
  • Introduce fun and game changing elements which will lead to enhanced player experiences.

 

Product ownership

  • Advocate and drive the success criteria of product releases across technical and marketing teams to drive success.
  • Leadership and influence across cross-functional teams to ensure successful on time and quality delivery.  to ensure project is completed on time and within budget.

 

Leadership

  • Ability to build, develop and support a high performance team.
  • Understanding of necessary components of a high performance culture.
  • Willingness to coach and develop the team to achieve success.
  • Strong relationship builder who can influence cross-functional departments to achieve success.

 

Governance, Systems & Process improvement

  • Ensure effective project management and leadership of critical on-going projects to support benefit of the business. 
  • Drive process improvements with a balcony view across all core teams.
  • Ensure clear and accurate understanding of compliance and/or regulatory/legal changes.

 

Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • 8+ years’ experience in Product Management or related functions, preferably within a Social Gaming environment.
  • Leadership which can be described as an authentic and inspiring style which empowers and develops the team to be successful. 
  • A conceptual thinker with who can motivate and influence stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Proven track record of delivery business results in a complex market.
  • Experience in a global organisation within the digital industry.
  • Relevant territory qualification in Business related discipline.
  • Strategic thinking capability with the ability to remain hands on and ensure the success of operational execution.
