IT Support Engineer

The Role

We are looking for an IT Support Engineer to come join us in the London office in order to support the growth of the company, tools and technologies. The role covers desktop support including hardware and software, general IT support and trouble shooting.

Duties

  • You will be working closely with and supporting various teams across this innovative company.
  • Be a single point of contact for end users needing support (Ideally holding experience in desktop IT support within a medium size organisation).
  • Install, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade all hardware and equipment, to ensure optimal performance.
  • Purchase hardware and software.
  • Add/remove users to/from various systems.
  • Diagnose and quickly resolve a wide range of problems with applications, networking, conferencing systems, and administrative systems - to help minimise downtime.

Skills and Requirements

  • Experience of supporting and setting up Mac & Windows machines.
  • Provide support for the company supporting tools like GSuite, Atlassian, Slack and Crowd.
  • Good working knowledge of JIRA.
  • Knowledge of active directory.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise multiples requests. 
  • Some networking knowledge.

Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge of VMware of advantageous.
  • Working experience with Amazon AWS (mostly Route53 and S3).
  • Experience of Chef configurations.
  • Knowledge of scripting deployment and software installs.

About You

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are a must.
  • Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, have a can-do attitude.
  • You will be hands-on and have the energy and drive.
